The Shrink Company has full-time administrative staff present during business hours. We have a well-established intake and triage system in place, which aligns with NSMHS and NSQHS standards. We have a dedicated Intake Officer who processes all referrals, which are attended to within 24 hours of receipt (business days).
As part of the intake process, all referrals are screened for:
- Acuity and urgency
- Appropriateness of referral based on location and logistics
- Assess ‘fit’ in order to assign most appropriate clinician (e.g. gender preference, availability of clients and clinician to ensure realistic session times)
The Shrink Company utilizes Medical Objects for secure messaging to send and receive referrals and correspondence. This facilitates effective, speedy and instant communication with other health professionals, and enhances service coordination and integration both internally and externally. Our practice management software is fully integrated with both Medical Objects.
